There is no substitute for reading the Bible.  You could read the  four Gospels (meaning good news)  in the New Testament about the life of Jesus: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. You could also read the Acts of the Apostles and the letters written by the early Christians, such as St Paul, in the New Testament.

…… and of course, the Old Testament, starting at Genesis.

Ruth and Derek Moores, members of St Thomas’s church Beaconsfield, volunteered for MAF in Kenya for several years; Derek is a pilot.

ONE CAN TRUST provides food parcels to those deemed 'in crisis' in the High Wycombe Area.

One Can Trust Foodbank is running short of a number of important food items and parcel requests always go up in the summer holidays so we need to get stocked. We  need tinned meats and vegetables, long life milk, juices, baked beans, pasta sauces, toothbrushes/toothpaste, shower gels/soap . We have plenty of soup and pasta thank you.   Please take any donations you are able to give to the box at the back of St Michael’s.

One Can Trust are also looking for volunteers to help deliver the 60+ parcels a week which feed 300 adults and children a month in High Wycombe and the surrounding areas. There are a variety of roles to be filled e.g. drivers, parcel packers, donations sorters as well as administrative/co-ordinator roles. Please see the website for more details
