Xandie’s Shout Out
I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas.
We have our Early Birds service in the Hall at 9.15am, when we celebrate Epiphany, the “light bulb” revelation that this child Jesus is God.
This Sunday, 6th January is the feast of Epiphany, when the Wise Men or Magi (from which we get the word magician), having followed the Star for many days, or weeks, possibly months, finally arrived in Bethlehem. They went to the house where Mary and Joseph were living and gave little Jesus their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Gold because he is a King,
Frankincense because he is God
Myrrh because he would die for us.
We do hope many of you can join us, when we act out this story.
