This Sunday is Trinity Sunday.
There is no 9.15am Praise Service as there is a Team Service at St. Michael’s at 10am, when Jeremy will take the service for St. Mary’s, St.Thomas’ and St. Michael’s.
Michelle Fotherby and Zoe are organizing activities in the Hall for the children, so for once, parents will have space for themselves during the service. The children will join us for the communion with their parents.
Trinity Sunday comes directly after Pentecost, the birth of the Christian Church, when Peter baptised 3000 people into the Church.
The last thing Jesus told his apostles, before his Ascension, was that they should baptize people in the name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit – The Trinity (3 united)’
The Trinity that brought the Universe into being in the first 3 verses of the Bible, when the Spirit of God moved over deep space and the Word (Jesus) of God the Creator said “Let there be light.” and the Big Bang happened.
